Sirolo and Numana are located on the Conero Riviera, two of those places that instantly capture the holiday feeling. Think white pebble beaches, turquoise water, and the stunning green cliffs of Monte Conero in the background. They're also known as the pearls of Conero.
Sirolo, perched high on the cliffs, is the charming of the two, with a historic village square overlooking the sea. It's a place for long aperitif evenings, small boutiques, and narrow streets full of holiday charm.
Numana lies a little further south, closer to the sea, and is a bit more relaxed and lively. Here you can stroll along the harbor, enjoy a plate of pasta with a view of the boats, or walk along the promenade to the beach.
The walk between the two villages is highly recommended. Start in Sirolo, descend the wooded path to the rugged Spiaggia dei Sassi Neri, take a dip, and then continue along the coastal path to Numana Alta. Along the way, you'll pass through pine forests and enjoy those magnificent views of the Conero.
And if you don't feel like walking back after lunch or ice cream in Numana, you can simply take the shuttle bus back up.
