Porto Sant'Elpidio is a 45-minute drive from the house. It's a place where a vacation is simply a vacation: relaxed, cozy, and without too much fuss. The town lies along the Adriatic coast, with a lovely wide beach and a strip of pine trees providing shade and a laid-back vibe on the promenade.

Chalets line the beach, the hotspots where the daily routine comes to life. Start your day with a cappuccino and a Cornetto and end it with an aperitif as the sun sets. Be sure to try Chalet La Playa de Cococciò for a relaxed atmosphere or Chalet Luna Rossa for fresh fish.

Directly behind the chalets lie the lawns, where you'll experience a true holiday feeling. Children play football like it's the World Cup, families have their picnics, and teenagers chill with music and a ball. It's a place where you can easily immerse yourself in the local vibe, without it feeling too touristy.

The boulevard is filled with evening markets filled with handmade jewelry, local products, and a lively atmosphere. For a cultural experience, there's the International Folklore Festival, where you'll see the best dance groups from around the world. For fish lovers, there's the Frittura Festival, featuring the region's most delicious fried fish.

The town began as a fishing village but became a popular seaside resort in the 20th century. Its fishing roots are most evident at the Saturday morning market, where you can find fresh fish. And if you're a shoe lover, Porto Sant'Elpidio is located in the heart of Le Marche's shoe scene, with outlets where you can find designer brands for considerably less than you're used to.
